Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League drops all the way to 95 percent off on Steam

Here’s a discount that’s surely unprecedented for a AAA game in its year of release. Rocksteady Studios’ Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is currently 95% off on Steam, meaning you can pick up the 2024 blockbuster for just $3.49.

The digital deluxe edition is all of $4.99. This version of the game includes outfits, weapons, weapon dolls, color swatches, and a battle pass token. The 95% discount offer ends on Dec. 4.

Suicide Squad is also currently discounted on PlayStation and Xbox, but by a slightly more normal margin. You can pick it up for $13.99 on consoles.

It’s been a rough year for Rocksteady, London-based developer of the beloved Batman: Arkham series. The studio had been developing Suicide Squad for years; its last major title, Batman: Arkham Knight, came out in 2015. But the direction chosen for the game — a live-service, co-op shooter in the Destiny vein — seemed confusing and off-putting to players, and after a delay, it launched in February 2024 to mixed reviews, meagre sales, and low player numbers. Warner Bros. Discovery reported a $200 million loss on the title.

Kill the Justice League is not, however, a terrible game, and it’s worth checking out for some of its bold storytelling choices if nothing else. At these prices, it’s a steal.

Steam users seem to agree. At time of writing, Suicide Squad is a respectable 50th in Steam’s sales chart, and is being played by just under 1,000 players — which is not many, but it’s a lot more than the 100-odd who were logging in a week ago.

If Kill the Justice League’s ragtag team of supervillains deserves a second chance, then maybe the game itself does, too? Admit it — you’re tempted.
